Who we are
The FRIENDS of the Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota is a volunteer organization of dedicated women and men joining together to share their collective talent and passion for the Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota and its Scholarship Program, and to contribute to the overall betterment of the community.
What we do
As of August 2011, one of the important aspects of FRIENDS is through assisting with many non-musical tasks that distinguish the total “Artist Series Experience.”Just one year after inception, FRIENDS expanded their scope to include an annual fund-raiser in support of the Artist Series Scholarship Program, In its first two annual events, the organization raised and provided $40,000 in financial support.
Why we do it
Most of our members would tell you that they enjoy being part of an organization that provides a pleasurable and creative outlet for their skills and interests while embracing and engaging new members as actively as it cherishes its longtime members. Artist Series FRIENDS recognizes the value of its members’ time and talents and endeavors to provide activities and structure that are worthy of both. The double benefit is, of course, that while our members benefit, so does our exemplary Artist Series of Sarasota, and the participants in its state-wide Scholarship Program as well as the nearly 10,000 individuals who attend Artist Series concerts throughout the year.
